Rising Sea-Levels OK, Waterworld has it’s first sportscar.

I have to say, this is a sweet sweet ride for the 2012 set (the non-zombie infected ones with gold bars to trade as global markets have collapsed). This all electric submersible whip by Rinspeed might only be a concept car, but it works!

Able to reach depths of up to 10 meters, float, and drive it’s self! Expect to see this in the next Bond/Borne/TransporterIII movie.

Video of this muntant after the

All Demos must be sent on floppy!

OMG!!! Every band I’m ever in, from here on out, will be brining these to our merch table. These little baby’s happen to be CDR’s printed and cut to look like 3.5″ floppies.

The nostalgia/geek factor is super high, but so is the price. $14 each for the privilege. And you can forget about using it any slot-loading drive, so that counts me and my 3 macs right out :(

It’s Official, the first Droid you will ever own will be an Elmo.

medium_2264489559_f1959cab88_o.jpg Just take a look at what the future has in store for us. The juvenile-muppet-robot version of Richard Simmons is awaiting it’s official release for what is sure to be the end-all-be-all gift of the 2008 Christmas season.

If you manage to find a few of these before it gets cold out again, you should be able to ebay them for more then the balance on your student loans.

Philadelphia Ranked #5 Most Miserable City in US by Forbes, Philly responds with low Smug index.

schuylkill_river.jpgForbes Magazine just compiled statistics for the largest 150 US cities, judging them on crime, unemployment, super fund sites, cost of living, and some other misery inducing factors.

To those of us living here it comes as no surprise. Our murder rate is high, our cops are racists, our parking authority is a parasite, there is piss everywhere, (Seriously, WTF? why are there no public restrooms? The El smells like a ferret cage.) and zombies could walk around north philly for a month before people would notice something strange.

BUT! we have: Zombies, Rust, Abandoned buildings to explore, an experimental music scene, non-annoying hippies, Vientiane, we keep it “Real”, and rent is way cheaper then NY.

Pino :: ERGO PROXY ::

ergo

If I was to ever dress up in Cos Play. It would be as Pino. Maybe it’s because she plays a melodica (like me!). Maybe it’s because she is stubborn and does not like to be interrupted when she is reading her favorite fairytales (also like me!). Maybe it’s because s she wanders off a lot (again, me!). See the above pic? See it? The resemblance is too uncanny, if you ask me. Two peas in a pod, in matching bunny PJs.

Pino, short for Pinocchio, is my current favorite anime character. She is an infected companion AutoReiv from the anime Ergo Proxy. The infection leads the droids to have a “soul”, emotions of their own. She was scheduled for “decommission” after her “family” was granted permission to have a real child. Before this could happen, her “mother” and infant “sibling” were killed.

Pino is also one of the few characters in this series that is in bright cheerful colors. Everyone else is in somber gothic tones. She is very innocent, and learning the difference ranges of emotions (mainly loss, though still not fully understanding it, as any real child would), as each series passes.

Ergo Proxy reminds me a lot of Bladerunner meets Highlander, tinged with Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is beautifully animated, and the story line is excellent. A dark, dark science fiction tale.

I love H.Hayashi

screen-capture.pngIs it too early in the morning for a nose bleed? I think not.

I really love the wonderous worlds from H.Hayashi. This is pure happiness. Rosey cheeked children flying in magical machines, or going on adventures in mysterious lands. Each paper craft tells a different story, bringing both a warm feeling in the heart, and the longing for our childhood daydreams.
