Youtube find: Building a Sweat Lodge

The last time we atempted to build a Sweat Lodge, it didn’t turn out so great. Here’s a prime example of how to get started.

$100 DIY Sailboat, escape option #9 for when the zombies come.

We are always interested in DIY survival techniques, this one comes disguised as a “Hobie” craft. Shorty has got a site here documenting how to build your own little boat on the cheap. If you’re like us you will be thinking of ways to make yours fast, light, and zombie proof. Resettling our species on a distant uninfected island may just rely on the availability of such craft. Ipod mod makes your DAP a gameboy, no word on pong playability.

Mysterious Etsy seller has modded out an old school Nintendo Gameboy for your ipod Nano Mini. Apparently you can control the ipod with the controller buttons. Pretty…Pretty, as in the words of the Great Tyrant. via Boing Boing.

Do you know how to die with honor?

First off, this is something we are going to start doing a lot more of around here. Second off, we talked not one day ago about making a short documentary on LARPers and then while on the way to film another mini-doc ran across this scene.Hope you don’t get bored of looking at Clark Park, because the next mini-doc was shot there only minutes after this one. Stay tuned…

PSP-esque gaming phone by Sony Ericsson?

Despite the fact I haven’t touched my PSP in months (I am just a DS type of girl). Sony Ericson released the above sketch of the gaming phone to tantalize the public. Looks pretty cool too me, as long as it doesn’t end up being too thick and clunky. The rotating screen (similar to the PSP design) and gamer friendly buttons looks “OK” at best. This is just a sketch, so hopefully this will improve and become rad and sleek.

Awesome Alert

There is a super cool exhibition called Marvel of Manga in San Francisco! It’s curated by an Australian guy named Philip Brophy! It’s at the Asian Art Mueseum! The exhibition will be highlighting one of the legends of manga! Sometimes called the “God of Comics” or I would say “High Priest of Comics” Tezuka Osamu! Sorry about all the exclamation marks but this is too awesome.

So this is what to expect:“…features more than 200 works including original drawings, covers, and posters that trace the artist’s development, the television and anime series inspired by his work, as well as his adult-oriented manga,”

Dood. This is too rad for words.

Why am I in Philadelphia? Why am I not there? I will be stuck in a cubicle. Oh well. It will only make me stronger … hopefully
