Philadelphia Ranked #5 Most Miserable City in US by Forbes, Philly responds with low Smug index.
Forbes Magazine just compiled statistics for the largest 150 US cities, judging them on crime, unemployment, super fund sites, cost of living, and some other misery inducing factors.
To those of us living here it comes as no surprise. Our murder rate is high, our cops are racists, our parking authority is a parasite, there is piss everywhere, (Seriously, WTF? why are there no public restrooms? The El smells like a ferret cage.) and zombies could walk around north philly for a month before people would notice something strange.
BUT! we have: Zombies, Rust, Abandoned buildings to explore, an experimental music scene, non-annoying hippies, Vientiane, we keep it “Real”, and rent is way cheaper then NY.
